Dr. Alex Guerrero

Alex Guerrero is a trauma surgeon based in New York City and the inventor of the highly-acclaimed VIZR Platform, a medical technology solution providing physicians immediate access to crucial data, and the MTP Scorekeeper, a simple device which keeps track of blood components during massive transfusions. In addition to being an experienced clinician, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeon, he is the principal investigator on several large, population-based injury research projects in Africa. He is the medical director of Trauma Ready, a consulting firm for trauma centers and the first U.S. surgeon to obtain a Masters in Trauma Sciences. His thesis was on the use of risk adjusted models for external benchmarking in trauma. He has also served as a War Surgeon with Medicine San Frontiers.
